A comical, quick witted Southern gentlemen, Carter Lybrand is also a self-taught musician and authentic storyteller. He’s as simple as the one light South Carolina town he grew up in—a town that taught him an appreciation for country music at an early age, beginning with his musically gifted grandparents. Destined to carve out his own musical journey, Carter is now back on American soil, pursuing it to the fullest after a tour in Iraq with the Army. Exchanging a rifle on his back for a guitar, Carter has already opened for the likes of John Anderson and Tucker Beathard and is quickly gaining a southeastern following. His first single, “I'll Be Right Here” features a touching video about a struggling alcoholic veteran in recovery and is one Carter hopes will change lives. With future plans for a full album and solid southeast tour, Carter also hopes that he is making his departed grandparents proud, using his gift of lyrics and melody to make a difference in the world around him.
